Patrick Huston is a British Olympian in Rio 2016! He is also a three time world champion archer at junior level. He trains full time with the Olympic Squad at Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire. He was born and brought up in Belfast, Northern Ireland and is a founding member of East Belfast Archery Club. He is curently working on a project he is calling Urban Archery, using foaom tipped arrows to bring archery to a variety of new customers. if you are interested in having an urban archery combat session please get in touch!

Patrick ranked 38th at the Rio Olympics and finished in the top 32, losing out only to Ku Bonchan, the eventual Gold Medallist.he qualified for the Olympics at the European Championhips in Nottingham where he also took individual bronze and team silver. see the match below where Patrick 'Oggies' the crowd and storms through Lucas Daniel of France 

Patricks first major target victories were at the World Youth Championhips in Wuxi in 2013. He won individual gold after qualiying in fourth. At this event he also took Cadet Mixed Team Gold with Rebecca Martin. Watch the videos here:

As part of his wholistic approach to archery Patrick takes a keen interest in indoor archery. November 2015 saw him win the first stage of the Indoor World Cup in Marrakesh against Matteo Fissore.

Patrick is also an enthusiastic Field Archer. He won Junior men's team gold at the World Field Archery Championships in Zagreb 2014 alongside fellow Northern irishmen Craig McCreery and Jordan Mitchell. This adds to his individual gold and team bronze from the European Fields in 2013.

He is currently living in Telford and training full time with the GB olympic squad. He regularly shoots at tournaments locally, nationally and internationally as well as coaching in his local Club of Audco Archers and other groups as well.
